History

This church on Bolshaya Ordynka brings together two eras of Moscow neoclassicism. In the eighteenth century, Vasily Bazhenov worked on the bell tower and refectory. Decades later, Joseph Bové designed the new main church. Their silhouettes help you tell them apart from the street. The tower rises in tiers, while the church spreads out in a broad rotunda.
