Floating Bridge in Zaryadye
Follow the arrows to the bend in the railing. You can see the river, the embankment below and the path returning to the same bank.
Getting there
Old English Court › Zaryadye park paths › Signs to Floating Bridge › Viewing deck
From the chambers’ south front, follow the park paths downhill towards the river. At forks, follow the signs to the Floating Bridge. Join the deck at the marked entrance and follow the arrows. If the bridge is closed, stay on the open park paths.
Before entering, look back towards Varvarka. Seen from this lower level, its church towers appear taller than they did from the street.

History
On the park plan the bridge looks like an arrow pointing into the water. Its deck projects beyond Moskvoretskaya Embankment, turns over the river and brings you back into Zaryadye. The structure is about 244 metres long. Its sense of flight comes from the section that reaches over the water without a pier below. End the day by looking back. The towers and cathedral you studied separately now form a single panorama.
