History

This was a busy house in February 1831. On the eve of his wedding, Alexander Pushkin invited his friends here for a bachelor party. The wedding supper took place the following day. A few days later the newlyweds held their first ball as a married couple. Pushkin rented the apartment from the Khitrovo family. The rooms that commemorate him today are upstairs.
