Follow Lavrushinsky Lane all the way to the canal, passing the gallery again. Use the crossing on Kadashevskaya Embankment and step onto the footbridge.
Stand by the railing and compare the level of the water with that of the pavement. Bolotnaya Square makes a convenient place to end the walk.

History
From Lavrushinsky Lane, a footbridge leads towards Bolotnaya Square. It crosses the Vodootvodny Canal to the island between the canal and the Moskva River. Couples bring padlocks on their walks and fasten them to a metal tree. This crossing has become a fixture on Moscow wedding itineraries.
