Kremlyovskaya Metro Station
Find the winged Zilant at the entrance. Once underground, take a moment to examine the platform before boarding.

Getting there
Lovers’ Arch, Black Lake Park › Black Lake paths › Chernyshevskogo Street › Bauman Street › Kremlyovskaya metro station
Follow the water through the park to the far end. Exit onto Chernyshevskogo Street and follow it across Kremlyovskaya and Profsoyuznaya streets to pedestrian Bauman Street. Turn right towards the Kremlin walls and continue to the metro entrance beside the winged Zilant.
Before you leave Bauman Street, turn around and listen. Shopfronts, cafés and street musicians give it a very different sound from the park.

History
Kremlyovskaya was a terminus when the metro opened on 27 August 2005, during Kazan’s millennium celebrations. Trains ran to Gorki with just three intermediate stops. Even getting the first trains into the tunnels had taken some ingenuity. Their carriages had arrived in Kazan by rail before the connecting track to the depot was ready. Each carriage was put on a separate transporter and towed to the depot by an army vehicle. The metro’s first journey was over the streets.
